It is imperative that we in California do not treat the 2020 general election like a regular election. Non-partisan funders and donors need to strategize about our collective response if Trump, as he has repeatedly stated and intimated, does not peacefully accept the results of the 2020 Election if he loses. California is a state full of communities and specific politicians he has attacked, from immigrants and Black people to VP candidate Harris, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Congresswoman Maxine Waters. California has its own risk factors as well, from Spring election meltdowns in LA, to our long vote count timeline because of our commitment to count every eligible vote cast.  California, for all the reasons above, could find itself in the crosshairs as we never have before. So join us for a debrief, and hopefully the start of a strategic discussion, about California’s role ensuring America undergoes a peaceful transition of power if the results dictate that.
